The Tortuga Experience

An intimate journey into the world of living wines.

At our cellar in Rabós d’Empordà, we invite you to experience winemaking as it truly is; unfiltered, evolving, and deeply connected to the land. Each visit is guided by someone directly involved in the craft, offering a personal perspective shaped by the season and the wines themselves.

A rare, behind-the-scenes experience

This is not a standard tasting.
It is an immersion into the process.

You will move through the cellar, exploring wines at different stages of their evolution — from fermenting juice (in season) to wines resting in tank or barrel, to those already bottled.

Along the way, you will:

  • Taste wines directly from tank or barrel when possible

  • Compare raw, unbottled expressions with their finished form

  • Walk the vineyards and understand the soils, climate, and decisions behind each wine

Each visit reflects the moment, no two experiences are ever the same.

A personal approach.
We keep our visits intentionally small and unhurried.
This allows space for conversation, curiosity, and a deeper connection to the wines.

Expect something honest, relaxed, and quietly detailed.

  • Location: Rabós d’Empordà

  • Duration: approximately 1.5 hours

  • Includes guided visit and curated tasting

This is a private-style experience with a minimum booking equivalent to 4 guests.

You are very welcome to come alone or as a smaller group — however, the minimum rate for 4 people applies. You can book multiple guests in one reservation.

For groups of more than 10 people, please contact us directly by email to arrange a tailored visit.

We recommend booking in advance to ensure a place.

If you decide to become a member of the Tortuga Wine Club the tour will be for free! To be arranged at the cellar directly.
