Fruita Analogica

After a year of working the fields in the Empordà, we discovered a 9.5-hectare plot for sale near Rabós, complete with a small house in the middle. Through crowdfunding, we were able to purchase it and, since 2018, have been the proud owners. From day one, we found a space to make our wines in the old cooperative building of Rabós, which we rented from the previous owner, Espelt. This is where Vinyes Tortuga wines were born.

The old building felt right, but the rental contract was temporary, and the owner was seeking a buyer. The empty tanks reminded us of the opportunity to make more wine, as the market was growing, and at a more affordable price.

We shared our vision with our friend Bart Obertop, a hospitality entrepreneur and former owner of Brouwerij 't IJ. After visiting the cooperative, tasting our wines, and seeing the building's untapped potential, he embraced the idea of producing natural wines for Amsterdam and beyond. And thus, our second brand, Fruita Analógica, was born!
